Guidance, Comfort, and Presence at the End of Life
Understanding the role—and the compassionate support Kellie Larsen provides to individuals, families, and beloved pets through life’s final chapter.
Understanding the Role of an End-of-Life Doula
An end-of-life doula (also known as a death doula) provides non-medical support to individuals and families navigating the final stages of life. Much like a birth doula supports the beginning of life, an end-of-life doula offers guidance, emotional support, and a steady, compassionate presence at the end.
This role is centered on helping people feel less alone. Through thoughtful end-of-life support, doulas bring clarity to uncertainty, comfort to difficult moments, and space for meaningful connection—ensuring this chapter is met with dignity, intention, and care.
At The Final Chapter Project, this work is led by certified end-of-life doula and co-founder, Kellie Larsen.
